Mission

The Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) at KMBB College of Engineering and Technology is committed to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion by ensuring that all students, faculty, and staff are treated with dignity and respect. The Cell works proactively to eliminate discrimination, support marginalized groups, and uphold the principles of social justice.

Key Functions

  • Policy Implementation:

    Ensure compliance with government and institutional policies related to equity and non-discrimination.

  • Awareness Programs:

    Organize sensitization and capacity-building initiatives for students and faculty.

  • Student Support:

    Facilitate scholarships, remedial coaching, and counseling for underrepresented or disadvantaged students.

  • Grievance Redressal:

    Offer a transparent mechanism for addressing complaints related to discrimination or exclusion.

  • Data Collection & Reporting:

    Maintain records and submit regular reports to regulatory bodies as required.

Objectives

  • To ensure that all stakeholders of the college have equal access to academic and co-curricular opportunities.

  • To prevent and address discrimination or harassment based on caste, creed, gender, religion, disability, or economic status.

  • To promote sensitivity and awareness on issues related to social justice, diversity, and inclusion through workshops, seminars, and outreach programs.

  • To collaborate with other cells such as the SC/ST Cell, Women’s Cell, and Grievance Redressal Committee for coordinated action.
