Orientation program 2025 at KMBB College of Engineering and Technology

On 3rd September 2025 , orientation program was organised at KMBB College of Engineering and Technology. The event was presided over by Chairman, Shri Soumya Ranjan Patnaik.

On this occasion, the Chief Guest, Hon’ble Minister of State for Industry, Technology, and Skill Development, Shri Sampada Swain, addressed the students. In his speech, he highlighted the transformation of technical education in Odisha. He noted that while students once had to depend on states like Karnataka and Tamil Nadu for engineering education, Odisha has now emerged as a significant technical hub in the country, attracting students from across India.

The Minister emphasized the role of college education in shaping a student’s personality. He encouraged the students to use this crucial phase of life to cultivate discipline, organization, and balance.

Shri Tapan Mohanty, Managing Director of Z Estate Pvt. Ltd, joined the event as Guest of Honour. He praised the talent of Odisha’s youth and urged students to embrace entrepreneurship. Rather than seeking jobs, he encouraged them to become job creators and contribute to the state’s economic growth.

Directors of KMBB College, Shri Bijuni Charan Sutar (Education) and Shri Saroj Panda (Administration), also addressed the gathering. They advised students to maintain discipline, stay focused, and commit to hard work in their academic journey.

The program commenced with a welcome address by KMBB College Chairman Dr. Amarnath Nayak and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dean (Academic), Dr. Ganesh Prasad Khuntia.

The event was graced by the presence of ‘Sambad’ Editor Smt. Tanya Patnaik, Khurda Block Vice President Shri Prakash Samantray, along with the entire staff and student community of the college.
