Journey from Village to Harvard

On August 5, 2025, a student interaction program was held featuring Dr. Amit Bhongade, who shared his inspiring journey from humble beginnings to being accepted as a postdoctoral research scholar at the prestigious Harvard Medical School.

During his talk, Dr. Amit discussed his research on AI-based health monitoring systems designed to detect sleep apnea. He showcased his patented devices and instruments used for diagnosing various health conditions.

Dr. Amit motivated students by sharing how, despite growing up in a financially challenged family, he overcame obstacles through determination and self-belief. He successfully completed his B.Tech from IIT and went on to earn a Ph.D. from IIT Delhi.

He encouraged students to collaborate on future research projects and assured them of his full support and guidance. The event concluded with Principal Dr. Amar Nath Nayak presenting Dr. Amit with a memento in recognition of his achievements.
