Engineering College BhubaneswarDr. Dhanada K Mishra is currently on sabbatical leave from his position as the Director (Academics) of KMBB College of Engineering and Technology. He is serving as a visiting research scholar at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor in 1995. His research topic under the guidance of Prof Victor C Li focused on the application of Engineered Cementitious Composites (ECC) in the plastic hinge region of beam-column joints in earth-quake resistant buildings. He returned to India and worked with Associated Cement Companies (ACC) in their concrete consulting division. Subsequently, he worked as a Product DevelopmentManager with Rocla Technology in Australia where his focus was on extruded flexible ECC pipes and geopolymer concrete products such as acid-resistant sewer pipes and fire-resistant lightweight wall panels. In 2003 he relocated back to India and joined KIIT University as it's first Dean of Research. Subsequently, he served the Centurion University. His research interests are in fiber reinforced cement composites, pozzolans like fly ash, slag and lime calcined clay (LC2), industrial waste utilization, and advanced concrete technology. He has over fifty publications in national and international journals and conference proceedings. He also writes for national and international periodicals and newspapers.
