Dr. Bhabani Prasanna Pattanaik is presently serving as Professor in Mechanical Engineering and Dean (Academics) at KMBB College of Engineering and Technology. Dr. Pattanaik received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology Silchar, Assam in 2018. Prior to his Ph.D., he completed M. Tech (Heat Power Engineering) from Jadavpur University, Kolkata in 2002 and B. E. (Mechanical Engineering) from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar in 2000. He possesses more than 18 years of teaching and research experience in various reputed organizations. He is a life member of ISTE, IE (India), Combustion Institute (India) and SAE (India). He has published more than thirty research papers in referred International Journals and Conference Proceedings. He is also acting as reviewer to many referred International Journals. He has received grants from DST, AICTE, TEQIP concerning to his research proposals. At present, he is associated with a TEQIP-III R&D Project and handling various other research activities of the institute. Moreover, a number of his research papers are presently under review and he is involved in writing many other research papers to be communicated shortly. His key research interests are Development of clean burning green fuels, Engine combustion and emission optimization, Waste to energy conversion, Advanced emission reduction techniques, Nano-additives for fuel applications and Green technology for sustainable development.
